Triage RN-Remote Per Diem

About This Role

The Triage RN is responsible for delivering patient care remotely in accordance with established standards and policies, ensuring high-quality care and safety for patients. This per diem position is ideal for RNs seeking flexible work arrangements.

What You'll Do

• Embody the mission, vision, and values of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
• Apply knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases in the assessment process.
• Complete nurse visits as assigned and document patient assessments.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care and nursing orders.
• Manage patient care in the department and coordinate with providers.
• Perform AED/O2 checks in the department.
• Manage incoming clinical needs faxes for the department.
• Consult with in-house resource personnel for treatment.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for patients.
• Review patient and family knowledge of diseases and provide self-care instructions.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or Associate's Degree in Nursing required

Experience:

• A minimum of one year experience as an RN preferred
• Physician office experience preferred
• New grads will be considered

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in Massachusetts required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
