Treat Specialist

Job Purpose:- The Treat Specialist at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a delightful experience for our customers by preparing and presenting a variety of treats. This role involves providing recommendations on product selection, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Treat Specialist plays a key role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective teamwork and collaboration.Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, understanding their needs, and offering recommendations on treat selections.- Prepare and present food items in an appealing and hygienic manner, adhering to company standards and health regulations.- Handle sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and using point-of-sale systems.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment.- Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.- Engage in continuous learning and development through on-the-job training and by staying informed about new products and promotions.Benefits:Full Time - Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401k, Paid Time Off, and Holiday Pay.Full Time and Part Time - Employee Discount and Time & Half Holiday Pay.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Education:- Prior retail or customer service experience- On-the-job trainingRequired Experience:- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash handling- Flexibility to work a variety of shiftsPreferred Experience:- Experience in a customer service or food service role- A passion for food and a genuine desire to create positive experiences for customersRequired Skills and Abilities:- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and potentially allergenic ingredients- Capable of bending, stooping, and reaching to perform various tasks
