About the Opportunity

Our client, a small private investment firm HQ in downtown Chicago is growing, and they are seeking a detail-oriented Treasury & Loan Servicing Analyst to join its team. This position will primarily support daily treasury operations, including cash management, wire transfers, ACH processing, and banking transactions, while also providing support to the loan servicing function. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with banking portals, electronic payment processing, financial reconciliations, and internal controls. Key Responsibilities

Treasury Operations – Primary Focus

• Execute daily cash transactions, including wire transfers, ACH payments, loan disbursements, investment transactions, and distributions.
• Process and verify outgoing payments through banking and treasury portals, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Perform payment verification callbacks to confirm wire and ACH instructions.
• Track incoming cash activity, capital calls, borrowings, and other financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate banking documentation, statements, and transaction records.
• Respond to treasury-related inquiries and coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with established treasury procedures, internal controls, and payment authorization requirements.

Loan Servicing – Secondary Focus

• Assist with daily loan payment processing and reconciliation of loan activity.
• Support monthly borrower invoicing for debt service payments and related fees.
• Respond to borrower and internal stakeholder inquiries, researching and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and review loan exception reports, delinquency reports, and portfolio activity.
• Support accurate loan servicing records and reporting.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Identify opportunities to streamline treasury and loan servicing processes.
• Assist with system enhancements, operational improvements, and special projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, loan servicing, or related financial operations.
• Experience with banking portals, wire transfers, ACH processing, and electronic payment workflows.
• Familiarity with loan servicing systems, processes, and financial reconciliations.
• Background in banking, mortgage lending, financial services, or a related industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a transaction-driven environment.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
