Flexible Schedule. Travel Covered. $100–$135/hr. Practice Across Ohio.

The Schedule

• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off — averaging 20 hours per week.
• 3 weeks on / 1 week off — for those who prefer longer rotations.

Compensation & Coverage

• $135/hr | Part-time, no benefits.
• $100/hr | With full benefits package.
• $2,500 annual CE stipend + paid CE time.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to assess health and diagnose problems.
• Treat and dress wounds.
• Perform surgery on animals.
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases.
• Operate medical equipment such as X‑ray machines.
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments.
• Prescribe medication.
• Work closely with team members to provide high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• Licensure in the state where the candidate will be working.
• Ability to show compassion to pets and owners.
• Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks.
• Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure regarding animal wellbeing.
• Strong fondness and understanding of animals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of animal behavior.
• Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals.
