Traveling General Dentist – Eastern Washington/Idaho

Scope of Travel: Spokane, Spokane Valley, Pullman, Yakima, Richland, Coeur d’Alene, Nampa, Boise, Meridian, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: 4 10‑hour days (40 hours per week)
Expected Hiring Range: $190,000 – $220,000 annually
Other Compensation: Eligible for retention/sign‑on bonuses and relocation advance if distance requirement met.
Position Summary: The Traveling General Dentist supports Willamette Dental’s evidence‑based treatment philosophy, mission, vision and core values by performing the full scope of general dentistry in the listed locations.
Essential Position Functions
- Travel to all locations listed in the scope of travel.
- Embody Willamette Dental Group’s treatment philosophy, mission, and values throughout the practice.
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team at the highest available scope of licensure per state, with expanded‑function dental assistants and licensed hygienists.
- Coordinate multiple schedules to ensure excellent patient access and experience.
- Ensure quality care and adherence to company treatment philosophy using dashboard data, specialty referrals, and EV reports.
- Meet office strategic goals: patient count, routine work, customer experience, access, and quality care.
- Prioritize customer experience and patient transparency.
- Obtain and maintain credentials for nitrous oxide or other minimal conscious sedation.
- Strictly adhere to OSHA, blood‑borne pathogens, FDA and ALARA radiograph guidelines, and company PPE policy.
- Diagnose and treat dental issues, develop individualized treatment plans, and educate patients at every appointment.
- Maintain proper electronic documentation (AxiUm electronic records) and comply with all data‑management requirements.
- Apply evidence‑based dental practices, CAMBRA, PEMBRA, risk assessment, and diagnostic terminology.
Education and Experience
Degree: Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
Licensure: Valid licensure in the state(s) where practicing.
Licenses, Certifications and Registrations
Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Knowledge
- Evidence‑based dental practices.
- AxiUm electronic records
- CAMBRA and PEMBRA with emphasis on prevention.
- Risk phases and risk assessment.
- Diagnostic terms and oral cavity anomaly treatment.
- Customer and optimal patient experience principles.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary: $190,000 – $220,000 annually. Eligible for incentive pay per company plan.

Paid Time Off: Minimum 120 PTO hours per year plus seven paid holidays. PTO accrues pro‑rated for part‑time roles.

Sitting/standing work with occasional walking, bending, stooping, carrying light items, computer use.
