Traveling Executive Director

Community Options, Inc. is a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across 12 states.

We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedTraveling Executive Director to oversee program operations and provide leadership support based on organizational and operational needs. This position is based in Burlington, NJ , with travel required as needed to support programs, staffing, compliance, and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with state licensing and reporting requirements.
• Travel to assigned programs as needed to address operational needs and provide leadership support.
• Assess operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Manage budgets, maximize revenue, and control expenditures.
• Lead, train, and develop staff while managing team performance.
• Develop and support residential, personalized, employment, and person-centered programs.
• Maintain effective relationships with governmental and community agencies.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, billing, financial records, and required reports.
• Support investigations, inspections, audits, and other compliance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in administrative and supervisory leadership roles.
• Must be willing and able to travel as needed based on operational needs.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills.
• Commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Successful completion of required background, registry, and drug screening.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000+ , based on experience, qualifications, travel, and operational needs.
