American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification for a high risk pregnancy clinic role.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a sonographer
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS and ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification required
- OB/GYN and outpatient experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screening, umbilical cord doppler, and multiple pregnancy assessment
- Experience with transvaginal, renal/pelvis, ovarian, and uterine imaging
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
- License required if applicable
- First-time travelers accepted
Responsibilities
- Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one hospital and 2 rooms at a second hospital location
- High Risk OB/Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic setting supporting 3 MFM physicians
- Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily, including fetal echo and detailed fetal anatomical surveys
- Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Uses GE ultrasound equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
- 5x8 day shifts, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends, nights, on-call, or major holiday shifts
- May float within scope to sister facilities to meet facility needs
- Report ultrasound findings directly to MFM physicians
- Familiarity with high-risk maternal and fetal conditions required due to patient population
- Scrubs required, any color, no prints
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Former Providence employees may return after a 3-month waiting period and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates within 50 miles are considered local
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
