Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Augusta, GA Acute Care

Contract Days 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit serving an adult to geriatric population with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4-5 within a 36-room unit with an average daily census of 35
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to weekend rotation expectations (every other weekend) and holiday work requirements per assignment schedule
• Complete all orientation modules and onboarding compliance requirements within designated timelines

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests may be made post-offer or onsite, and no RTO is permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and vascular/PE patient management
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems

• Work in a high-acuity telemetry environment with a diverse cardiac and vascular patient population, offering strong clinical growth opportunities
