Travel Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry (3 East)

Corpus Christi, TX Acute Care

Contract 13 Weeks Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Administer medications and perform continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the Meditech EMR system
• Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
• Demonstrated ability to manage 4-6 patients simultaneously

• 2+ years of experience caring for neurological patients, including CVA, TIA, and altered mental status presentations
• Background in neuro, neuro-surgery, or orthopedics strongly preferred
• Med/Surg Telemetry background considered in lieu of neuro-specific experience

• Work alongside a collaborative, patient-centered team in a well-staffed unit environment
• Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a structured acute care setting with consistent day shift hours
