Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on neuro experience. The position involves floating between units in a short-term acute care facility, providing care to neurology patients, including post-surgical neurology cases and other neurological diagnoses. The role supports a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring proficiency with the NIH scale and neuro care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; current licensure (compact license acceptable); at least 1 year of experience in neuro or telemetry nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro step-down care, post neurosurgery, procedural sedation, spinal cord injury, telemetry, traumatic brain injury unit experience; proficiency with Epic charting system.
- Additional Information: The position requires caring for a high-acuity neurology patient population, including stroke, epilepsy, and neurosurgical cases, within a designated stroke unit and spine center of excellence. Candidates should be comfortable with neuro procedures, patient monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a valid state license (compact license accepted), and be prepared to provide two recent professional references covering at least one year of employment within the last three years.
