Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with Level 1 trauma experience and NBSTSA certification for a busy 22-room hospital operating room.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient surgery experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• NBSTSA certification required, no other certification accepted
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude required

Responsibilities

• Hospital operating room setting staffed 24/7 across 22 ORs
• Surgical services include general, gyn, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine
• 12-hour shifts on a mid rotation with 7a or 7p start times, totaling 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend as needed and every other holiday
• On-call requirement of 1x per schedule
• May float to other OR campuses as needed
• Support surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties in a high-volume trauma center
• Work collaboratively within a large surgical team in a fast-paced environment
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for local versus travel rate eligibility
