Operating Room Technician - OR Technologist - Travel

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work a 12‑hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week.

As a Travel OR Tech, you will assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set‑up, passing items to doctors and nurses as needed, and performing all aspects of aseptic technique. You will set up the required equipment and sterile supplies for your assigned cases, pull cases as needed, and break down cases at the end of each procedure. You will be knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures and will perform delegated duties consistent with your scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Confirm procedure with patient.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Meet technical skills as outlined in the surgical procedure checklist.

All OR/Surgical Technicians are required to hold the NBSTSA Certification or NCCT Certification. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods, easily lift 20 pounds, and may need to lift up to 50 pounds when handling patients. The fast‑paced environment requires good stress coping skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• CST certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technology experience
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
