Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORT

American Traveler seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring BLS, NBSTSA certification, and prior travel experience.

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Cardiothoracic surgical technology experience required
• Minimum of 1 year total travel experience required
• 6+ months of continuous travel experience leading up to submission required
• 1.5+ years of continuous experience in specialty required
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months required
• License required if applicable
• 1 supervisory-level professional reference required
• Valid copies of all required certifications must be provided, no pending certifications accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVOR unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Monday through Friday schedule
• No call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Support cardiothoracic surgical procedures within the CVOR
• Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be considered, with exceptions for LVNs/MAs
• Candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months or longer are considered local and not eligible
• No gaps in travel experience within the last 6 months are permitted, except for minimal pre-approved vacations or brief onboarding/relocation periods of 2-3 weeks
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning staff or travelers must wait 1 year after their last assignment before reapplying
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed, with no additional RTO requests permitted after submission
• Interview availability required, including specific days, times, and time zone
