Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORT

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring open heart and vascular surgery experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist, with CVOR experience preferred
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• License required if applicable
• Active certifications required at time of consideration; pending certifications not accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty is required; co-worker references are not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Hospital CVOR unit
• Scrub open heart and vascular cases, including wired vascular procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 1-2 weekday call shifts per week from end of shift until 0700 the next morning
• Weekend call requirement of 1 per 6 weeks, covering 24 hours Saturday and 24 hours Sunday
• One working shift on Saturday or Sunday per 6 weeks, typically coordinated with weekend call
• May be rotated onto the holiday call schedule as needed
• Scrub for cardiovascular surgical cases including open heart and wired vascular procedures
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• Extensions with the client are possible for up to 18 months, after which a 6 month break is typically required
• RTO must be discussed during the interview process
• Background check hits of any kind are reviewed by the facility, but open cases will not be accepted
• Facility does not accept any hits on professional license
