American Traveler seeks a Surgical First Assistant with independent endoscopic vein harvest and open heart experience for a hospital CVOR position.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro devices
- Minimum of 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience
- CSFA, CFA, or SA-C certification required
- License required if applicable
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
- Cardiac First Assist role in a hospital with 2.5 CVORs
- Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM over a 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week
- On-call requirement every third weekend and every third weekday
- Floats to Main OR as needed
- Typical procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and open and endovascular aorta repair, as well as thoracic cases
- Assist in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures as part of the surgical team
- Scrubs provided by the hospital
- Does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- One professional reference required for consideration
