Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift assignment requiring med surg and cardiac drip experience with an NH or compact license.

Details

• Stepdown unit within a regional referral medical center
• Adult-geriatric patient population
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to Kingsbury unit as needed
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required in-hand prior to consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Cardiac drip experience required
• Dementia experience/management required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have personal vehicle due to lack of public transportation in the area

Additional Information

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership within the clinical team
• Traveler-provided professional scrubs required (no logos)
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted during the assignment, and all requests must be submitted prior to offer
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidates should not be pursuing this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment
