Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown

Bay City, MI Stepdown / Progressive Care

Contract Night Shift Onsite

• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical patient metrics
• Perform regular patient assessments, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions or life-saving measures
• Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
• Provide specialized care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or complex conditions such as vent and stroke patients requiring neuro checks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions, and maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation

• Active Michigan RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN Stepdown / Progressive Care experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Must live more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard traveler rates

• Experience caring for neurological patients requiring frequent neuro checks
• Familiarity with caring for post-surgical and cardiac patient populations
• Strong interdisciplinary communication and care coordination skills

• Work in a structured stepdown environment with a defined nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
