Travel Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) care is needed in Haverhill, Massachusetts. This position involves evaluating and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders or wound care needs, following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. The therapist will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilize evidence-based interventions, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to support patient recovery.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per day; minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: State of Massachusetts license, a minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings, and a degree in physical therapy. New graduates with Level II experience are also considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in skilled nursing or rehabilitation facilities.
Additional Information: Responsible for screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; developing appropriate care plans; administering procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive and assistive device use, and wound care. Progress assessments and treatment adjustments must be documented accurately, with participation in care conferences and facility trainings. Supervision of physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students is expected, along with adherence to professional practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics.
