Occupational Therapist (OT)
to join our school-based therapy team. The Occupational Therapist will provide individualized occupational therapy services to support students in developing the functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills necessary to participate successfully in the educational environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, collaborates effectively with teachers and families, and is committed to helping students reach their educational and developmental goals. 37.5 hours Responsibilities
Evaluate students and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Address fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, coordination, handwriting, self-care, and functional classroom skills Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other members of the educational team Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding therapy goals, progress, and recommendations Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and strategies to improve student participation and independence Educate school staff and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and techniques that can be incorporated into the student's daily routine Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district, state, and federal requirements Provide compassionate, student-centered care that promotes participation, independence, and academic success Requirements
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Required:
Active
Occupational Therapist (OT) license
in the state of practice or ability to obtain Preferred:
Previous
school-based or pediatric experience Knowledge of
IEPs
and school-based occupational therapy practices preferred Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered therapy services What We Offer
