American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Current ACLS certification from AHA
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Responsibilities
- Work in a 29-bed Medical Surgical unit with some cardiac population and telemetry monitoring
- Shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic for charting
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the healthcare team
- Serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
- Requires strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Navy or maroon scrubs required
- Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
