American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Stepdown position requiring a CA RN license and prior travel nursing experience.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of stepdown/telemetry experience required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Specialty experience must be within the last 2 years
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Step down unit within a hospital setting
- Telemetry patient population with 1:3 patient ratios
- Night shift, 3x12 hours,
- Rotating schedule including weekends
- Floating required
- Uses Epic charting system
- Provide telemetry monitoring and stepdown-level nursing care including cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and post-procedure care
- Experience with craniotomy, CVA, TPA, and neurosurgical patients preferred
- Experience with TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, and cardiac catheterization patients preferred
- Local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates previously employed at the facility must disclose this at the time of consideration and receive facility approval prior to assignment
- Requested time off cannot be changed once submitted for consideration
