Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry for an IMC Medical-Surgical unit requiring current NM or Compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Work in the IMC Med-Surgical A unit of a hospital setting
• Care for post cardiac cath and post surgical patients
• Manage patients on high-risk medications including cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
• Treat respiratory patients on NIPPV support such as BiPAP and AIRVO
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time, 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served

Additional Information

• Perform initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Systematically reassess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Perform various point of care testing procedures
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
