American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and NIH Stroke Certification.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU unit of a hospital environment
- 13-week travel assignment with night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating required as needed
Start and Duration
Start Date: ASAP
Length: 13 weeks
Openings: 2
Actual start date is typically 3-4 weeks from time the offer is received. Start dates are determined based on facility needs and credentialing requirements.
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand - temporary licenses will not be accepted
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown specialty experience required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown/telemetry patients
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered - no local candidates accepted
- Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
- Professional appearance standards apply including guidelines for nails, hair, tattoos, and piercings
