Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring an active IL RN license and 1 year of telemetry experience.
Details
- PCU/telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Cardiac telemetry patient population including COPD, CAD, CHF, AFib, and sepsis cases
- Utilizes Epic EMR system
- Performs skills such as starting IVs, chest tube management, cardiac drip management, and bedside cardioversion
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response including rapid response/code team activation
- First time travelers accepted
- Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted
- Clinicians cannot work more than 1 year as a traveler without taking a 6-month break before returning
