Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of acute PCU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 32-bed Advanced Surgical Med-Surg unit specializing in bariatric, GI, and colorectal surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1
• RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
• Administers medications including TPN and pain management
• Performs skills such as PCA management, feeding tube care, trach care, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vac management
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am
• Works 3 days per week for 36 hours total
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and evaluation for a group of patients
• Deliver patient and family-centered education throughout the care continuum and at discharge
• Mentor and precept staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non‑licensed personnel
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and organizational needs
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
• Comply with regulatory standards and unit-based practice governance model

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,113 - $2,288. The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
