Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a FL or compact license and at least one year of travel nursing experience.

Details

• Care for complex patients including post open heart, post TAVR, and post pacemaker cases
• Manage drip titrations, chest tubes, and BiPAP therapy
• 13-week contract with 36-48 hour work weeks acceptable
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to complex cardiac and respiratory patients in a fast-paced stepdown environment
• Local candidates accepted, though may qualify for a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they meet the minimum experience requirements

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
