American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring critical thinking and EKG interpretation skills on a 13-week day shift assignment.
Requirements
- Active RN license (State or Compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Critical thinking skills required
- EKG interpretation skills required
- Prior experience titrating cardiac medications preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Responsibilities
- Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting, 36 beds
- Staffing includes RNs and PCTs with patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
- Shift schedule is 7:00AM-7:00PM, 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Occasional paracentesis or thoracentesis procedures performed on unit
- Floating required to ICU or Med-Surg as needed
- No weekend or on-call requirements specified
- Care for progressive care patients requiring cardiac monitoring and titration of cardiac medications
- Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
- Navy blue scrub attire required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
