American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring active MA RN licensure and Epic charting experience.
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
- Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Responsibilities
- Telemetry unit setting providing care to patients with critical or life-threatening illness
- Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
- Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips
- Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic for charting
- Provides direct nursing care for patients with life-threatening cardiac conditions, recognizing and responding to shock and other emergencies
- Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
- Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeepingNo validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking required
