American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift cardiac care position requiring active tele and cardiac nursing experience.
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Telemetry and cardiac nursing experience required
Responsibilities
- Telemetry unit functioning primarily as a medsurg/medtele overflow unit with some cardiac patients
- Patient population includes stable chest pain rule-outs, A-Fib with RVR, CHF, and stroke rule-out patients
- Occasionally manages Cardizem (max rate of 15) and amiodarone drips
- 5-6 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
- Candidates will float within the hospital
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- No radius restrictions
- RTO must be listed on application and approved prior to confirmation
- Background policy does not permit DUI or DWI within the past year; other findings reviewed case by case
- Former staff must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible for consideration
