Assignment Overview

• Start Date: Sep 20, 2026
• Length: 16 weeks

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency for a Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit.

Details

• Work in a 5A-5H Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit with 9-14 beds
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1
• RN reads telemetry and titrates limited medications such as heparin
• Utilizes skills including EKG, trach care, PCA, wound vac, and feeding tubes as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule from 6:45am-7:15pm
• 36 hours per week over 3 days
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Works alongside a mixed acuity, collaborative and supportive peer team

• $2,252/wk
• $936/wk
• $26.00 x 36 hours/wk = $936
• $1,316/wk
• $120.00 x 7 days = $840
• $68.00 x 7 days = $476
• In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,077 - $2,252. The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
