American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring ventilated patient and tracheostomy management skills along with a CA RN license.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (CPI preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring required
- Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration required
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Responsibilities
- Acute care hospital setting on a Telemetry unit
- 1:4 patient ratio
- 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to Med Surg and to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance
- Facility may call off shifts once per two week pay period
- Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and rapid response coordination
- Scrubs of any color permitted
- Free parking available
- Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO must be submitted at time of application and is limited to minimize delays
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and locations
