Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a cardiac unit position requiring BLS, ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical Telemetry unit within a 355-bed hospital housing brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedic, and surgical centers
• 24-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Generalized cardiac patient population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial) and VATS
• Uses Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner EMR
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac nursing care within a family-oriented unit
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Must start on one of the designated orientation dates in October, November, or December 2026
