American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry/Direct Observation Unit RN for a night shift stepdown position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) in hand, no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
Responsibilities
- IMC/DOU stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
- Every other weekend required
- Priority floating required for travelers
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Provide direct observation and telemetry monitoring care to stepdown patients
- Complete 12 hours of orientation
- Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
- Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health, within the past year
