Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Psychiatric RN for a Behavioral Health night shift position requiring 2+ years of current psych experience and KY or compact licensure.

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) in hand required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: 1 Charge or Higher and 1 Supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Flu vaccine required with medical and religious exemptions considered case by case

Responsibilities

• Behavioral Health unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 and 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Rotating 36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked schedules cannot be accommodated
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during assignment
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after one year before being eligible to return
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not share the same shift or unit
