Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an Adolescent Female Unit, requiring 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience and an MD or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or compact) required in-hand at time of submittal; temporary licenses not accepted
• BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR experience preferred
• Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via Livescan prior to start

Responsibilities

• Psychiatric hospital setting on the Adolescent Female Unit
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to any age population when scheduling requires
• May be required to work as charge RN during a shift
• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adolescent female patients
• Navy blue scrubs required

• One pre-approved RTO request allowed, must be submitted with initial profile
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Former permanent employees must wait one full year before applying for a travel position
• Candidates who apply for a permanent position at the facility must wait one year before applying as a traveler
• Orientation modules completed during orientation and annually via Relias/Net Learning portal
