American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVICU position requiring PALS/ACLS certification and 2+ years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience.
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA required)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Responsibilities
- Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
- Care for patients with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD needs
- Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow
- Shift schedule is 07:00-19:30
- 13-week contract assignment
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a range of complex conditions
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
