American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and an active MI license.
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required (compact license not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA)
- Skills checklist pertinent to PACU specialty, current within 1 year
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
Responsibilities
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit within a 268-bed full-service hospital with a level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring respiratory and cardiac status
- 12-hour day shifts with a variable start time between 8-10a
- Occasional weekend coverage preferred but not required
- On-call coverage preferred, most likely one night per week with occasional weekend coverage
- Uses Epic EMR
- Assess patients and provide skilled nursing services per physician-authorized plans of care
- Administer medications, perform treatments, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms
- Evaluate and help update treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Process and carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Navy blue scrub color required
- No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
