American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CO or compact RN license and BLS certification for night shifts.
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start date
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification may be required as appropriate for the unit
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Schedule consists of 3x12hr night shifts, 1900 to 0700, weeknights only
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- Uses Epic for clinical documentation
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients
- Perform health teaching and counseling, and monitor treatment plans
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Background check and drug screening required, with results typically taking at least 2 weeks
- Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
