American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring bariatric, orthopedic, and general surgery experience with a South Carolina or compact RN license.


Requirements

  • Active RN license (South Carolina or Compact)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty
  • Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system and gastrointestinal surgery required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience within the unit
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
  • Skills needed across podiatry, orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopic, and robotic/bariatric procedures

Responsibilities

  • Operating Room setting within a hospital
  • Requires experience with bariatrics, orthopedics, and general surgery procedures
  • Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (6:45am-5:15pm)
  • Call required approximately 4-5 days per month, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Weekday call hours are 5pm-7am; weekend and holiday call is 24-hour
  • Number of weekend shifts varies based on facility need
  • Uses Pyxis medication system
  • Floating to other units/campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated
  • Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a range of surgical specialties including podiatry, orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, robotics, and bariatrics
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements
  • Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville) to be eligible for this assignment
