Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Circulator for the Operating Room, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications and call coverage.

Requirements

• Active RN license in State of Oregon
• Current OR RN license required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum three years of experience required
• Previous RN circulator experience preferred
• Scrub experience and Peri-op 101 course completion preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months

Responsibilities

• Operating room setting within perioperative services supporting all patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 3 shifts per week at 12 hours each )
• Call required on a regular scheduled rotation
• Floating to other departments possible where qualified
• Act as patient advocate, directing and supervising assigned personnel during surgical procedures
• Perform interventions to protect patient safety, maintain correct surgical site/side/level, and manage specimens per policy
• Administer medications safely and document nursing care accurately and completely
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and maintain required competencies
• Provide age-specific, culturally competent, and ethical patient care within legal standards
• Support facility mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures
• Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable
