Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring an active SC or compact RN license and prior cardiovascular OR experience.

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a CVOR unit required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, and IABP
• Scrub cardiovascular surgery experience preferred
• First assist experience preferred
• General OR and trauma experience preferred
• Knowledge of laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol time-out procedures
• Cell saver equipment experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit within a hospital setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities required at least two days per week, plus 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule
• Required to float to other units and campuses within the health system based on qualifications and competencies
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Perform circulating and scrub duties for complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Weekly onsite orientation held every Monday, along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate if located under 100 miles from the facility
• Candidates must generally reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rate eligibility between 90-99.9 miles
• Operating Room specialties, including this role, require candidates to live 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital, with reduced rate eligibility between 50-99.9 miles
