Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13‑week assignment at an academic teaching hospital, requiring a VT or compact RN license and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- 13‑week assignment on 12‑hour day shifts ), three days per week
- 36 hours per week schedule
- Call requirements include one to two 12‑hour weekday calls ) and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks
- May be required to float to other OR suites including General, Ortho, Neuro, and ENT
- When floated, would circulate only and would not be required to scrub
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active VT or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required, CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high competency in Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Large academic teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Must be able to scrub hearts
Additional Information
- Provide circulating and scrubbing support for cardiovascular and open heart surgical procedures
- Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the unit and patient care
- Bi‑weekly orientations held on Mondays
- No block schedules permitted for any reason
- Work week runs Monday to Sunday
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all‑season or snow tires during November through April
- Local candidates accepted, with pay rates tiered based on direct‑line mileage (local, radius, and travel tiers)
- Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
