Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN for a hospital operating room role requiring 18 months of recent CVOR experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Scrub in on open heart and vascular procedures, including wired vascular cases
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirements include 1-2 weekday call shifts per week from end of shift until 7:00 AM the next morning
• Weekend call rotation of 1 per 6 weeks, covering 24 hours Saturday and 24 hours Sunday
• 1 working weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) per 6 weeks, typically coordinated with weekend call
• May be rotated onto holiday call schedule as needed

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 18 months recent CVOR experience required, preferably within the last 3 years
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the CVOR specialty required for consideration
• Co-worker references will not be accepted
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts allowed
• Negative background check required; open cases will not be accepted
• No hits on professional license accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct scrub support for open heart and vascular surgical procedures
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any Cleveland Clinic hospital within the past year
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
• All requested time off must be discussed and finalized during the interview process
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time within the Cleveland Clinic Health System
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
