American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry/IMC position requiring a TX or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or compact required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
Responsibilities
- IMC Med/Surg telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- 13-week assignment, full time
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Completion of annual competency verification requirements expected
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate unless local approval is granted
- Returning CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
