American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night-shift position requiring an active IL RN license, an IA license (or compact), and oncology experience.
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- IA RN license also required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact license
- 2 years of Med Surg and Telemetry experience required
- Some oncology experience required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Valid driver's license required
- Current resume/work history required
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
- One supervisory reference within 2 years of employment/contract required
Responsibilities
- Med/Surg Oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes medical, oncology, and neuro cases
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12 schedule
- Every other weekend required
- No on‑call requirements
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Uses Epic EMR
- Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Facility is a Level 1 trauma center
- Holiday coverage required, working 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
- Limited time‑off requests permitted during winter holiday periods
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
