Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring 2+ years of recent experience and a KY or compact license.

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• 2+ years of current Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, rotating 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• 84 hours per two-week pay period on a 36/48 rotating schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling not accommodated
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted, though medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case
• Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO limited to up to 7 days and must be requested upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday for every holiday period
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before returning to the system
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
