American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with orthopedic experience for a night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and peripheral nerve block catheters
- Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred
- Experience with tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and chest tube care preferred
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience preferred
- Wound care/wound vac experience preferred
- 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Surgical unit with an orthopedic focus
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5
- Uses Epic charting system
- 13-week assignment length
- Care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, and general surgical patients in a Med/Surg setting
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
