Travel RN - Med/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring active compact or TN license and recent Epic experience.

Requirements

• Active compact or TN RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required, clearly documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam with only one attempt allowed
• Two supervisory references required
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management required
• Experience with chemotherapy monitoring and administration preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and telemetry preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care preferred
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Uses Epic EMR
• Must be willing to float to other Med Surg/Tele units
• Provide oncology and medical-surgical nursing care including chemotherapy monitoring and administration
• Manage patients requiring cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal care
• Support rapid response and code team activations as needed
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests will be accommodated
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration; additional RTO will not be approved afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Return travelers must confirm staffing approval status prior to consideration
