American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift float position requiring 2+ years of comparable acuity experience and Cerner EMR proficiency.
Requirements
- Active unencumbered TN or compact RN license required in hand, pending licenses not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting required
- Prior Cerner EMR charting experience required
- Two references required, may be pending at time of consideration
Responsibilities
- Acute care setting with float assignments determined by nursing supervisor
- May float to units including Medical comfort care, Surgery/GI, Trauma, Medical, Observation, Oncology, Nephrology, Ortho, Joint Replacement, Neuro, Vascular, Pulmonary, Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiac
- Night shift 3x12 hours, 6:45p-7:15a with 30-minute lunch
- Patient ratios vary by need, typically 1:6
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Royal Blue scrubs required
- Completes required training modules during orientation and annually, varying by specialty
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Previous employees are eligible to return
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Travel pairs allowed
