American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Infusion Therapy position requiring at least 2 years of infusion/chemotherapy experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Minimum 24 months of infusion/infusion therapy experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
- Outpatient infusion center experience required
- Chemotherapy experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers accepted if they have at least 2 years of infusion experience
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
Responsibilities
- Outpatient infusion center setting treating infusion and chemotherapy patients
- 16-bed unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Day shift starting at 7:30am, with 8 or 10-hour shifts based on departmental needs, 40 hours/week
- Float required across two infusion center locations
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Provide infusion therapy and chemotherapy care to outpatients
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays during both summer (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) and winter (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving) holiday periods
- Limited time-off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday blackout periods
- Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible if they have worked at any UPH facility within the past 12 months
